ABOUT BLOOMÂ Â
Â
Bloom was created from a simple, heartfelt need, to feel less alone in the creative process. So many of us make work in isolation, caught between bursts of inspiration and stretches of self-doubt, longing for connection and encouragement. Bloom is a place to find that.
Here, we gather to share our work, our thoughts, our fears, and our triumphs, with openness, honesty, and care. Together, we hold space for one another’s growth, celebrate progress (no matter how small), and offer the accountability and friendship that keep our creative practices alive.
Bloom is a community for photographers and lens based artists, writers, curators, makers, and thinkers who believe that creativity thrives in connection. You belong here — with your unfinished projects, your big dreams, and your willingness to grow.
Let’s create, support, and bloom together. 🌼

ABOUT LAURA HYND
Laura Hynd is an internationally exhibited artist, educator, mentor, workshop founder and mother. Embedded into Laura’s workshops and mentorship programmes is the philosophy that we can transform our practice, frustrations and self-limiting perspectives through the creative process.
Â
"Laura's calm ability to guide and hold space is a real gift."
Emli Bendixen
Â
Her intuitive, slow, sensitive and vulnerable approach to her own practice inspires her honest and effective leadership in encouraging and supporting artists’ reflective practices. Laura surrounds herself with photography and harvests a wide knowledge to support her students in her role as Supervisor to Final Major Project students for Falmouth University’s acclaimed Photography MA (online). Her experience as a Lecturer, workshop facilitator, commercial photographer, and published and exhibited artist, allows her to share her knowledge, as she believes generosity, community and support for artists is key to success.
Â
“Laura is very sensitive, professional and creatively/technically talented. I find this very inspiring and a joy to be a part of.”
Sam Lindsay
Â
Laura, her daughter and three cats live in a coastal village in Fife, Scotland, where they enjoy sea swims, log fires, gardening and watching films. She occasionally opens the doors of their tumbledown home for intimate, in-person workshops that continue her ethos of connection, creativity, and care.
